What is Mediation?

Mediation is a cooperative problem solving process.  It helps divorcing couples to reach an agreement through guidance and support of an impartial, trained professional.  Mediation is far less hostile than litigation, which is beneficial when there are children involved, and is considerably less expensive than a traditional adversarial divorce.

Mediation allows some creativity and “thinking outside the box” to be a part of the process while working within legal boundaries to reach solutions appropriate for the family.

Mediation allows parents to develop solutions for the best possible outcome for their children.
