About Me

I grew up in Alaska and lived various places until moving to Nashville in 2008.   My husband and I have four sons, two daughters-in-law, a granddaughter and two grandsons.

I am an outdoor lover, including hiking, gardening, and traveling.

I am a Certified Sex Therapist and completed my Ph.D. from International Institute of Clinical Sexology and my focus was sexual addiction.  My master’s in counseling is from Harding School of Theology.

I received certification as a Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) from the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) under the direction of Patrick Carnes, a pioneer in the field of sexual addiction recovery.  I am also certified as a Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) through IITAP.

I trained extensively with Pia Mellody, a Senior Clinical Advisor of The Meadows, both in Pia’s family of origin trauma model (Survivors I & II) as well as couple’s boundary work.

I am certified as an EMDR therapist through EMDRIA as well as trained in a Somatic EMDR. I am also trained in Brainspotting.
